My splices are made from Amsteel Dyneema 3/16" line.
The circles are tested to 10,000 pounds strength and the Double loop 5,000 pounds strength.
The sailboat application is where the skill came. I make them for my son who has a sailboat rigging business. I've kept the colors consistant so he can grab a certain color and know what he is getting.

I'm continually surprised by how many ways I use them and how much I believe in their strength.
